Gabrielle has been involved in the education sector from early childhood through to tertiary. She has lectured and carried out research in the tertiary sector across education, psychology and management disciplines, and has presented her research on student engagement and achievement, and how to design and implement interventions to develop students’ thinking competencies, both nationally and internationally.
Gabrielle frequently designs and implements large scale change projects which include the collection and analysis of a range of qualitative and quantitative data sources. She was recently involved with Ngāi Tūāhuriri on a two-year research partnership focusing on using teacher inquiry to increase Māori students’ use of culturally appropriate critical thinking skills.
She frequently works with clusters and networks of schools to build networks and increase collaboration. This includes aspects of facilitation, coaching, professional development and change management.
