Anna has 20 years’ experience growing and developing leaders at all levels and raising organisational capability in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors in New Zealand, Australia, Europe and the UK.
Anna specializes in designing and facilitating programs that promote the developmental growth, well-being, and performance enhancement of leaders and organisations. She has held various positions building leadership capability and providing strategic leadership support to senior managers of many organisations including some of New Zealand’s largest companies. She combines her experience and knowledge of organisational leadership and behaviour change with coaching/counselling skills, as well as drawing on her own operational management and business development experience to understand clients’ contexts and challenges and assist whole organisations to grow capability to thrive into the future.
Anna is skilled in both developmental coaching focusing on personal mastery and growth, as well as performance oriented coaching, and balances these two approaches to meet her clients’ specific needs, whether individuals or teams. She uses a goal oriented, solution-focused approach, drawing on peak performance and developmental psychology to help her clients function at their best. In her 8 years consulting experience she has successfully enabled many senior managers to achieve dramatic growth in their leadership capability with associated organisational results.
Anna has worked with a diverse range of organisations, including CDHB, Ministry of Education, Fonterra, Auckland International Airport, NZ Defence Force, Tait Communications, The Warehouse Group, NZ Police, No 1. Fitness, The Leadership Development Centre, Community College NZ, YMCA, and a range of Canterbury NGOs. Anna holds a BSc (Jt Hons), Postgraduate qualifications in both Education and Management, and an M.Ed degree focused on coaching, leadership and the psychology of peak performance. Anna is Director of Vivante Consulting.
